A King in some place and some time, fell ill.
With all the wealth and honor in his kingdom
he was sad to know that he will not survive.
As his last public announcement to his people,
he invited his whole kingdom. And in the
courtyard of his castle he placed all his
belongings. To his people he said, "I know
a time soon will come when I will no longer
be among you, my people!", he continued,
"I wish to see happieness in my kingdom and
amongst my people, in my presence I would like
to give away all that I have"
As this wise king realized that he will not
be able to take his worldly belongings with him.
As his last words he said to the people of his land
"Come forth and place your hand on whatever you may,
and it shall be yours."
Many people young and old, were lit with excitement.
Some sheer happiness other with greed. Peasants and
farmers alike ran to and fro both ends of the courtyard
carrying all that their hands could hold.
The King watched as his jewels, gold, food, weapons
and all his other belongings were being gladly taken
in front of his own eyes. Calm and content with a
charismatic smile full of patience.
A young boy no more than 8 years of age, watched too.
As he saw people running left and right, with greed
lit in their eyes, picking at the King's wealth like
hungry vultures. This boy made it across the courtyard
and admired the king from his crown to to the bottom
of his graceful robe. He approached the king and asked
"Dearest King, you said that what I place my hands on,
will rightfully be mine?" And the King, confirmed what
the boy asked "Sure! My Son. What would you like?"
And with that he place his tiny hands on the King's
Head.
